The Debut of the 2014 New Line of Floral Crowns!!

As of yesterday, the new line of floral crowns have made their debut in the Etsy shop! I have been working on this line for a little while now and I am SO happy with each and every new piece.

I am incredibly thankful for each person that was a part of this shoot including the ever so talented Kayla of Kayla V Photography who took all of the beautiful photos of the pieces. I seriously squealed when I saw them!!

Also, a huge thank you to the models Ruby ElorteguiMandee West and Chloe who drove up to Wrightwood to meet us from Los Angeles. You all are SO gorgeous and were such a pleasure to work with.
Donavan of Donavan Johnson Photography also accompanied us on this shoot as well as Anhel Torres who captured an amazing video of behind the scenes throughout the day (a snippet is shared below).

Here are the new designs added to Love Sparkle Pretty and a peek into the day spent in the mountains with pretty dresses, flower wreaths and camera equipment.

A bridal photo shoot featuring Love Sparkle Pretty lace bridal caps

I recently had the opportunity to collaborate with the very talented Marilyn of Marilyn Duvall Photography out in Texas. I sent her a couple of my bridal caps including a brand new one that will be available in the shop come December!

She worked with another photographer, Catherine who modeled beautifully as a bride. Although it ended up raining after Marilyn started shooting, the photos still came out really pretty. That's the thing about photo shoots, you never know what weather you're going to get once you step outside and start snapping away (like that time I found myself in a photo shoot in the middle of a storm)! It's part of the adventures of shoots though.

Here are some of the photos captured by Marilyn featuring Love Sparkle Pretty bridal pieces.

This delicate point de esprit lace bridal cap will be available in the shop come December (after shop vacation).
This intricate lace bridal cap is available in the shop here.

Nature + Light {A Styled Photo Shoot}

This past Saturday, I had the great opportunity to create some headpieces for a styled photo shoot with Kayla V Photography. She always takes amazing photos and creates such a beautiful and unique vision through her work.
For this nature/light-inspired photo shoot, the gorgeous (and SUPER talented) Megan Fay modeled my hairpieces as well as makeup by CheeksMakeup, hair styling by Katey-Bug Brown and clothing/styling by Tyler Freund.

Shipwrecked || A Styled Photo Shoot

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed a certain little seashell headpiece I have been working on for a styled photo shoot. That shoot has finally happened and it was AMAZING! Kayla of Kayla V Photography, contacted me a while back with a bit of inspiration. When I heard that the idea behind this next shoot will be Shipwrecked, I was totally on board (no pun intended)!
After a few postponed dates and a couple changes/cancellations, we did what we could to make this happen! Courtney Barnum was the perfect model, Melanie HoneyBlossom worked her magic with her makeup brushes and thanks to Samantha, we found the perfect locations. Not only did everything come together beautifully but it was such a great day to have a little mountain adventure with 5 creative girls.

{enjoy}

Here are some behind the scene photos I captured on the iPhone. Follow me on Instagram to get more BTS shots of future shoots.

Lighting these candles scared me. Like really scared me. I kept thinking we were going to catch the woods on fire and counting on 5 girls to put a fire out? Ummm...not the best situation.
Luckily, we were stealthy and my paranoia disappeared after we blew all 7 of these candles out safely.

It was a beautiful ending as the sun started  to set beneath the trees.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this shoot a success!
