Recently {A Mommy Mission, A Photo Shoot, New PRETTIES & Pocahontas}

Recently....

As you may have noticed, I have been blogging less to spend more time with the family and really "being" with my son more rather than just "present." As a stay at home mom, I have the power to really instill qualities and teachings in my son if I just give my time. He needs my time more than anything else and I am learning this.

I am so used to having a long "to-do" list (I still have one but it has been shortened) and being so busy to get things done. I want to breathe and I feel like I'm being renewed as I go through the Mission of Motherhood study with the women's bible study Thursday mornings. The first time I came to this study, I was so overwhelmed and had an emotional down because of (what I thought) was my son's overbearing behavior while we were there. (If you have a strong-willed child, you may know exactly what I mean!) What I have come to realize was it wasn't my son, but my patience and my attitude that needed to change.

If you are a momma, this book is an AMAZING read and will help with the struggles, the teachings, the grace, finding so much to be thankful for and the soul-shifts that may need to take place within ourselves.

If I'm not with the family, I'm been cranking out several pretty custom orders including these garter sets for brides-to-be. You can get a custom garter set created just for you right here in my shop!

I also had the privilege once again to collaborate with Beyond the Wanderlust (as well as Jenni Bost from A Well Crafted Party) on a bridal-inspired photo shoot. I created 2 veil pieces including a long finger-tip veil which will be available in the shop soon! Here's just a sneak peek of the amazing shoot styled by Jenni Bost.

Speaking of veils, I also created this custom birdcage veil with the prettiest rhinestone detail. I may have to add this one to the shop too!

I created this dream catcher as a reminder of the big dreams I often think of and the abundant blessings that have been graced upon my family and I. These blessings certainly include the beautiful home we just opened escrow on TODAY!!!!!!! I'm SO excited!

I also created some recent hoop art during Levi's nap time. I adore this new craft I have started. It's so relaxing!

I gifted this anchor hoop to one of my dearest of friends, Megan.

These woodland inspired hoops currently sit on my mantel. Love. Love. Love them!

I was Pocahontas for the day at Disneyland as a sweet birthday gift from Megan. We had such a great "mommy trip" and was able to ride every single ride we wanted to! Not to mention we also left with 2 full bags of candy EACH from the trick or treating we did there. Some serious kids at heart.

Homemade pretzels were also created in our household recently and I will leave you with these tasty treats. If you haven't had homemade pretzels, you should. Not only are they delish, but it's a great workout for your arms. Hence, the pretzel bites because my arms got too sore!

Have a beautiful weekend!

Recent pretties {A bridal shoot, new necklaces + boutonnieres}

Taking a little break from the blogging world allows me to get a bit more shop orders done, shipped out and have more family time. I will be back in the "swing of things" sometime soon but for now, I'm enjoying the time I get to step back and not have to get so much done.

Today, I'm sharing a few recent pretties that have made new homes and a sneak peek of one of a few new photo shoots featuring pieces from Love Sparkle Pretty.

I am so happy to have collaborated with Marilyn Duvall Photography for this bridal shoot featuring a handmade lace cap from the shop. She's such a talented photographer based in Texas. I can't wait to see the rest of the photos from this shoot!
P.S. I will also be adding another NEW bridal cap very soon!!

The new hand painted feather necklaces are now available here in the shop. This burnt orange one is on its way to its home in Australia.

The fabric rosette necklaces (will be available again soon) made their way to a sweet returning customer in Germany. Thank you Melanie!!

The gold boho-inspired headpiece is going to South Carolina. This piece has been quite popular in the shop. I am loving the boho style right now and I can see that many others are too. I have a few more of these to create and send off this week.

With the cooler seasons approaching, I have been creating more fall/winter pieces for weddings such as this custom woodland-inspired order of boutonnieres. These adorable bouts are for a December wedding in New York and I'm so excited to see all of the details come together for this event!
Right now, these are only available by custom order.

Speaking of boutonnieres, I stumbled upon these wedding photos from a wonderful Canadian bride I worked with a few months ago. She contacted me to create her boutonnieres, corsage pins as well as a couple hair clips (including the bride's) for her big day (see the past post about it here).

She was so sweet and the greatest part was, I was her very first Etsy order! It always makes me happy to know that I am someone's "first order". Being a part of a great handmade site, there are so many other talented shops to choose from but to place your trust in my shop as your first experience, means a lot. I still remember my first Etsy order too!

As a gift, I sent her a bracelet I created just for her. I used pearls on a silver chain and a locket to match the key boutonnieres. I was so happy to find out that she even wore the bracelet on her big day! This makes my heart happy.

Thank you so much Jennifer for your kindness and support of my shop. I truly appreciate you!

Have a beautiful week my friends!
If you've recently created some pretties, I'd love to see them. Send your posts my way. :)

Recently {Pretties with a side of caffeine, a morning walk + a concert}

Since coming back from vacation last weekend, I've had lots to catch up on in the shop. Luckily, I've had some beautiful and peaceful mornings to work in my craft room with a side of caffeine.

These pretty bridal caps are going out to Texas for a photo shoot with Marilyn Duvall Photography.

My little love bug and I took a morning stroll through the neighborhood while daddy was at work.

This past Saturday, my mother in love, step father in love, husband and I went to see Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Eli Young Band and Kacey Musgraves at the Angels Stadium for the No Shoes Nation Tour. It was SO much fun (after we stopped baking in the sun)! We sang and danced the night away. Then, afterwards we had Lucille's BBQ (YUUMM) at about midnight. No biggie. :)

I started Unit 4 of my Wedding and Event Planning Course a couple days ago. This is the last unit before my virtual internship and I'm pretty excited to start some projects and apply what I've learned so far.
I just finished the lesson about "How to Beat Wedding Stress." With weddings that I've helped with, have coordinated and definitely my own, there are mounds of different stresses that a bride will encounter.
Wedding coordinators are supposed to alleviate as much stress as possible which means, that "stress" is now upon the planner. I know so many people think that being a wedding/event planner sounds like so much fun along with playing with lots of "pretty" details and perks. Although there are rewards, it's a pretty high stress job and knowing how to handle it, is essential
Sometimes, you may even be like a therapist. Brides have a lot on their plate and working side by side with them will bring up issues whether it's related to family, finances, the bridal party, decor decisions, etc. Being the "voice of reason" and/or the "listener" is certainly a part of the job title as well.
Here's to wearing multiple hats!

Are you a bride or have been a bride? If so, what has caused the most stress and how did you handle it?

Have a beautiful week my friends!

Recently (a wedding, a styled photoshoot + a baby)

It's been a while since I've posted because lately, I have been a bit busy and priorities had been placed elsewhere.
I have been running around with baby love trying to keep up with all of his energy and excitement. Morning rituals of bath time and naked baby as well as his first dentist appointment leading to broken utensils. Whoops!

I also had 2 full days of wedding coordination starting with decorating and rehearsal time on Friday. Saturday was the big day so running around and making sure everything was going smoothly was the job on hand. Thankfully, everything did go well and there weren't too many major hiccups. I did get a bit emotional though as the bride (a dear friend of mine) danced with her husband for the first time. It was so sweet and as usual, I had tears in my eyes.
On my way to the festivities!
Sunday, after church, my husband and I decided to take our young adults bible study to the beach. It was PERFECT weather outside and many people had the same idea we did because it was pretty busy.

A few weeks ago, I was asked to participate in a bohemian inspired shoot by Beyond the Wanderlust. Without hesitation, I sent out a piece to Salem, Oregon to be featured in the photo shoot. I am absolutely in LOVE with the styling of the shoot and I'm so excited to see the rest of the photos!
Here's a sneak peek. Get the headpiece here from my shop!

I also went to talk to the Dr. this week about having another baby soon. My husband and I have been talking about it so I wanted to make sure that since I have hypothyroid, my thyroid levels are stable and we are good to go.
He gave us the green light but I have to get ultrasounds every 6 weeks (as if I didn't have to see the Dr. enough already) because of my history with ovarian cysts. Oh boy! Keep us in your prayers that everything goes smoothly.

I took some time to myself the other morning to sit on the porch with coffee while the flowers were being watered. I keep telling myself that I need to wake up earlier to enjoy these moments more often.

I was able to get these pretty custom orders out in the mail to some brides to be!
Love these boutonnieres with vintage-inspired buttons, gold skeleton leaves, detailed pearl ribbon and pretty feathers.

These lovely flower corsage pins are going out today. They are inspired by these corsage pins in my shop and came out beautifully!

Lastly, I have also been trying to get Unit 3 done of  my Wedding and Event Planning course. All of that has been put on the back burner while I try to focus more on my shop but I have scheduled the units back into my agenda so I may doing more updates soon!

As far as 4th of July goes, we have yet to make any plans. We seem to spend the 4th all over the place and they seem to always be last minute plans.
What are you doing for Independence Day?

Recent Pretties + a FLASH SALE

This past month has been full of fun wedding orders including custom pieces. I wanted to share a few recent ones that were just delivered and one almost done.
I'm so excited to see these pretties in full effect on the big days!

This garter was requested from a friend of mine who is a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding. She wanted to gift the bride her "something blue" as her garter. So sweet right?
I used satin, chiffon, point d'esprit lace, rhinestones, a vintage button as well as a beautiful peacock feather to top it off. I love the way it all came together and I'm proud to say it's my second garter set I've made!
Below is the first set of garters I made for a wedding this past April. I'm thinking about adding some to the shop. What do you think?

I just finished up a custom boutonniere order using pretty skeleton keys, goose feathers and pearls. I love using different color combos I haven't used before. These pieces are for an upcoming fall wedding which makes the beige/champagne and maroon colors PERFECT together for the cooler season!
I only have one of these keys left but I also ordered some others for new designs to add to the shop (coming soon)!

These boutonnieres are also for an upcoming fall wedding with the colors of light blue, white, black and a hint
of gold. I'm waiting for the other skeleton leaves to arrive in the mail (any day now) to complete the other 4 pieces. Then, out they go! :)

A couple hours ago, I received a few photos of a beautiful bride who just got married and used the "Tiffany" hairpiece from the shop on her big day! I love getting pictures from happy customers! Makes my day. :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH SARAH!
