Sneak Peek of the Craft Studio

I have been working on organizing the new craft room since we've moved into our new home back in November. For the longest time, I had no motivation to create anything within the bare space and I know it was because the room was so uninspiring to me...yet I didn't want to organize or clean to fix the problem. Go figure right?

Well, as of a few days ago, I have been completely wrapped up in getting this room decorated, organized and 'encouraging'. I still have quite a bit of work to do but I'm pretty proud of it's progress.
Here's a little sneak peek of some details within my new craft studio.

Enjoy.

What's on the craft table...

I painted a closet door with chalkboard paint to fill with inspirational quotes and 2014 business goals.

The 'work desk'. Usually this space is full of papers, shipping labels, reminder post-its and new ideas.
As I organize this room, I feel the need to create. This gives me the most inspiration when I need it. Although I had surgery two days ago, I have been in this room at my craft table several times because I gravitate towards a clean slate that begs to become a creative mess. It's this longing in my DNA. It's just a part of me!

The NEW bridal collection has arrived!

A couple days ago, my friend Aurora and I headed to a beautiful local national park (a hidden gem, really) for a photo shoot. We met the ever so beautiful Alyssa there as well. She modeled the new bridal collection of hairpieces that are now available in the shop and I must say, I am in awe of these photos that Aurora took!
Before I post the photos though, I should say that prior to the shoot, the weather was pretty bad. It was so windy, chilly and overcast with hardly any sun. On the way over to the location I was seriously praying that the sun would at least shine though. Low and behold, after snapping some photos, the clouds opened up and the most glorious lighting kissed our faces. PRAYER WORKS my friends! :)
Enjoy these gorgeous shots of the day.

Now for a few behind the scene shots. :)

When I saw this tree, I wanted to get married all over again (my husband and I got married under a tree). LOVE!

My inspiration for the new bridal hairpiece collection stemmed from the boho glam look. I wanted to create unique pieces that aren't really seen in the traditional bridal magazines/blogs. I used tulle for many of the pieces because it's so light and airy which photographs beautifully. I also used clear rhinestone crystals which I hand sewn to the tulle and pretty lace fabrics. The laces I used are some of my favorites (especially the Point D'Esprit)! They are so detailed and the feel is just exquisite. I'm so happy with the way each piece turned out!
These treasures are now available in the Etsy Shop and ready to adorn beautiful brides on their special day!
