I love anything with sparkle & with this new year, I can predict even more sparkle added to my wardrobe and newest projects to come! :) I was inspired to create a new fascinator this afternoon with...you guessed it, sparkley sparkles! LOL It is also available in the Love Sparkle Pretty Etsy Shop!

For the LOVE of scarves! :D

This morning has been another one of those crafting days! Yesterday, I went to the fabric store {for hours!!} and bought lots of new fabrics to create some scarves! I love love love scarves and I figured, why not make them if I adore them so much?! So, I did just that! Well, I made one so far...but I have sooo many different ideas that I want to create but for now, I need to just take one scarf at a time! :)

Here's my first, and only scarf done so far.

I created this infinity scarf using 70.5" of Magenta Wool Blend fabric to keep you extra toasty this chilly season. I also used 2 strips of 9.5" of Crochet Lace & a fabric flower made of muslin with gold shimmer and a vintage-inspired button for the center.

For the flower-- I cut & folded the fabric to create "petals" and then hand-sewn them to the magenta scarf. Then, I took extra magenta fabric and sewn that to the middle followed by a pearl button!

You can wear this scarf in several different ways & here, I have showed a couple ways:

Warm tea, good news, inspiration, & lovelies!

It's a beautiful Thursday morning and with a cup of warm chamomile tea by my side and some glorious motivation, I am ready to take on the day and share some news, inspiration, and lovelies!

First, some good news which all happened yesterday! One, my sister in law got married!!! Yaaayyy! Congrats Kristin & Berto (who are currently on thier honeymoon).

& Two, I received my "official" acceptance letter to nursing school!

When I recieved the envelope, I was literally shaking while I was opening it! I have been praying really hard lately about what path the Lord has for me when it comes to schooling and since I applied last application process but didn't get in (due to some class units that I received at CBU and not VVC), I was very apprehensive to reading what the outcome was for this application letter. As soon as I saw CONGRATULATIONS I was relieved, excited and yet overwhelmed all at once with tears in my eyes! This must be confirmation from the Lord and I intend on making the most of it all! I start this spring with the 2 pre reqs I must complete (pharmacology :-/ & nursing assessment) before I can actually start "official" nursing school in the fall. I'm excited to be able to give our little family an even better future and although it's gonna be tough, God will find a way and this brings me much peace about it all! :)

Cold Hands, Warm Hearts Swap!

Last night, I joined in on what will be my first swap! :) Cold hands, warm hearts is hosted by bloggers sandyalamode and much love, illy.

What this swap is, is a chance to really make a new friend in the blogging world in such a fun and creative way! When you sign up (you must be a blogger as a requirement), you get paired with a partner (they try to pair you up with someone from another country) and you get to create a super cute package for them which includes a pair of gloves that should keep their hands warm this winter and any other goodies you would like to send. I'm so excited about this fun opportunity & can't wait to start getting a creative package ready and receiving a lovely package as well! I wonder who my partner will be and where they will be from...hmmmm? :)

Fall inspirations!!

Fall is finally in the air and can be felt in the high desert! It took it's sweet time here but now I can enjoy my favorite season! With hot chocolate and mocha cappuccinos in the morning, chunky scarves, lovely peacoats, comfy boots, and the crisp autumn air rustling through the ever changing colored leaves...ahhh LOVE! :)
