New Feather Fascinators :)

I {love love love} feathers! I'm sure that's easy to tell though ;)
With the craft show that actually took place this morning/afternoon, I wanted to create some new pieces to reveal. Among many new arrivals, I designed a few new feather fascinators this past week!

Here are some of the new beauties!

{Enjoy}

This Teal, Black, & Silver fascinator was created using a black turkey marabou feather, teal saddle feathers, a spotted guinea feather, silver sparkley leaves, and an antique silver and teal button! It was all secured to a bobby pin for easy attachment and assembling to all hairstyles.

This little lovely peacock fascinator was created using white saddle feathers, rooster tail feathers, a beautiful peacock eye feather, and a vintage-inspired brooch! It was all then secured to an antique brass hair comb and looks sooo elegant when pinned in the hair.

I love this next feather fascinator! I created it using a dark grey ostrich plume, light pink goose coquille feathers, a spotted guinea feather, and a vintage-inspired brooch. I also attached this fascinator to an antique brass hair comb which makes it easy to pin into the hair.

This peacock butterfly, a version of the piece--WINGS, is actually a part of a custom order I am creating for 9 bridesmaids in a wedding that will be taking place in Pennsylvania on Oct. 29, 2011! They are all going to be created with alligator clips on the back so they can wear them attached to their sashes during the wedding and later, worn in their hair! :)

Here are just a few responses I have received and these are what keep me extra happy and inspired! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your life in some way whether it's within a small flower hairpiece that makes you feel extra pretty for the day or letting me be a part of one of the most special days of your life within a creation made with love! :)

A Christmas inspired piece!

It's another perfect crafting morning that must come to an end due to errands before I head off to work all day. {sad}
I woke up at 6:30am and to start, I finished painting an antique frame which I will use in the nursery on the wall {pictures will soon be up!}. Then, I finished the flower to a bridal hairpiece & now all that is left of this custom order is the detachable birdcage veil! :)
Finally, I created the first Christmas inspired flower hairpiece which will be for sale at the craft show on the 15th! {I need to get crankin' on these hairpieces! Only 11 more days!!!}

Here is the finished piece! Anyone have a good name for it? :)
{Enjoy}

To create this unique piece, I used small ivory peony petals, deep burgundy hydrangea petals, light green hydrangea petals, small burgundy ranunculus petals, a few white winter berries, an ivory skeleton leaf, a crystal rhinestone made in Germany, and a WHOLE LOT of {lOvE}.

{Have a lovely day!}

Praise the Lord, everything he has created, everything in all his kingdom.

A new etsy order + a sneak peek!

It's a beautiful Sunday morning with a hot cup of camomile tea as I get ready for work. :)
Last night I finished an order that will be shipped out tomorrow morning to the lovely state of New York (I wanna visit NY so badly! One day...). These pieces are for an engagement shoot and I'm so excited to be apart of it in some way!

Here are the pieces.
{Enjoy}

The order was for:
{NATALIE} which is the purple dahlia
{TIFFANY} the lace and chiffon ivory magnolia
& {COUNTRY CHIC} which is the peach flower with bits of floral fabric

:)

Also, here is a sneak peek of a completely custom and unique hairpiece I am creating for a bride in San Jose, Ca. It definitely isn't done {still have lots of details to add including a full bird-cage veil that covers the eyes} but it's well on it's way!! It's official post will be within a week! :)

Have a beautiful day!!

Happy Birthday Cupcake!

A friend of mine just had a birthday and as a gift to welcome in a new year, I created a hairpiece uniquely for her! :)
I used light pink peony petals, ivory magnolia petals, pink cherry blossom, and light green hydrangea petals to create this lightly colorful flower. I also added pink and purple feathers and a green button for the center with added pink twine between the button holes.

{Enjoy}

To package it, I put it on top of a cute cupcake holder with hot pink tissue paper to resemble a cupcake!...It didn't look exactly what I had in mind but it still looked cute anyway :)

Afterwards, I put it inside of a cupcake box & wrapped it with a big pink bow!
{All done and ready to enjoy!} :D

Happy Birthday {again} Tiffany!

Sneak Peek of Scarlett and Grace

Two more hairpieces will make their debut soon! I created these two pieces the other night to add to the collection and here they are!

{Scarlett}
I made this piece with red silk chrysanthemum, floral fabric, red chiffon, 2 deep red saddle feathers, burlap petals, and a vintage pin for the center!

{Grace}
Grace is a headband I made with ivory and pink cherry blossoms (each with lace and a pearl for center), an ivory and pink flower with lace and vintage pin for center, a hint of ivory marabou feathers, a spiraled goose biot feather, and pearl detail throughout!

Lots more additions will be added soon :)
Have a beautiful day!

A Birthday Wish

A dear friend of mine turned 22 yesterday and in celebration, I created a unique hairpiece just for her! :)
My inspiration for this piece came from her love of The Little Mermaid and I put my own design together to captivate this adoration.
I used burgundy and shades of blues to accent this ivory magnolia flower hairpiece and used a vintage aqua flower button as well as a pearl and gold button to add the finishing touch! :)
Here it is!

Again, Happy Happiest Birthday Ashley! :D
